That line, "I love you in a place where there's no space or time" describes a place that is both universal yet uniquely personal.
A place that each of us might think of as their own, which is probably true in those moments, but it must be full of souls. We enter alone or maybe with another at times whom we can barely see through the fog of space and time but whose presence and spirit we feel. We go there to remember, feel, or show love that perhaps is hard to find elsewhere.
We probably all need a song for us, whether to start a new year, remember the best ones in the past, or sometimes, perhaps to find the strength to face the ones to come.

Great version of that classic song 😍 Love Robert Ellis too, the first time I saw him he was opening for Teddy Thompson's dad Richard, when he had long hair (Robert that is, not Richard 😄). Was lucky enough to see Robert another 3 times last year, over here in England. After one show in Birmingham we had great chat, and somehow Marfa came up in the conversation, and his eyes lit up when I mentioned your name, and he sang your praises immediately. I'll check out his Substack for sure. Can't wait to hear more news of your new album!
